FAQ: Your shortcut to ledwall mastery
What size and resolution of ledwall do I need?
It depends on two key factors:
- How close will people be standing to the LED wall, and –
- The kind of content you will be showing.
Let’s break it down:
- Close Viewing (Detailed Inspection): If people will be up close (think trade show booths), a lower pixel pitch (2.6mm) is ideal for sharp, high-resolution visuals.
- Standard Viewing: For a typical viewing distance (conference halls), a mid-range pixel pitch (3.9 mm) works well.
Also, if the content you’re going for are in the sorts of High-Definition Videos & Complex Graphics, prioritize a lower pixel pitch for maximum clarity. On the other hand, logos & Simple Text don’t mind a wider pixel pitch, especially for faraway audiences.
PRO TIP: The whites of the led wall screen are very bright, so prepare your presentations with darker background and lighter text.
What aspect ratio is best for my ledwall?
16:9 will probably be your best friend.
Think of it as the universal size of LED walls: most modern video content is built for this format, making it perfect for presentations, live streams, and those epic cat videos you (secretly) plan to show. It’s like the comfy jeans of aspect ratios – familiar, reliable, relatable, and gets the job done.
But you can always get a custom aspect ratio – shall the situation call for it. In that case, we are going to scale the image based on the ledwall dimensions you’re asking for.
Keep in mind that you need to match your content ratio to the LED wall aspect ratio. The rule is simple, but if you disobey, your picture might be stretched, cropped out, or have black bars on the sides.
